Hey, can someone tell me how all the mods got to work on CC. And is it possible for the average Joe (me) could be able to get a job at CC.

I wouldn't quite call it a job. Everyone as far as I know, was invited by lack (guy who runs the site) personally into their positions. Chances of getting these invites is low, as I can only recall 2 mods being added since I started here.

I think lack is the only one who actually makes money. I'm pretty sure the rest are volunteers.

Lack might not even make money. The cost to run the site with so many people hitting refresh all the time has to be pretty high.

But it's been stated several times that the Mods are all volunteer which means they don't make any money. I guess you could say that Lack is the only person who has the potential to make money.

But I recall Lack saying he would make keeping this site up his official Job.

He HAS to make money...no?

Lack makes a lot of money. The mods dont.

Yeah, makes sense. And to judge from who they are, they seem to be respected, nice, people with good people skills and a good judgment as well as dedicated players to begin with. So - as to the first post - the "average joe" may not be what lack is looking for in a mod.

But of course, there're always exceptions to that general outline descirbed above... *coff* wicked *coff*

generally on any site to become a mod you have to contribute to the community.

the mods do get paid...not in cash, but they do get a premium mebership, if you want to call that pay

BTW wicked, you know that falls under the gift tax of the US Tax Laws?

Kind of like those gift bags celebrities get at award shows...

I get paid in other ways, which aren't quite taxable.

The number of smileys you use multiplied by the number of times you claim to "LOL" but you really didn't, divided by the number of exclamation points you use when you only need one equals the number of cats you will own in old age.

In other words ( x LOL )/ ! = # of cats
