I saw it on a show called the power of ten and thought it was a good question.

No way should any country have control over the entire planet.
So very true. Even worse if it was the USA.High Guard wrote: No way should any country have control over the entire planet.
30% That's a pretty big numbermagneticgoop wrote:now i forgot i think it was around 30% but i am not sure nowHigh Guard wrote:Power of Ten is a great show, what were the results on that question?

Yes, at least not in it's current political state. If there ever is a world government then it should be run by a parliament with members from each country having equal power, be it Monaco or Russia.Fircoal wrote:So very true. IT is, but then again, we are dealing with Americans. <_<High Guard wrote:30% That's a pretty big numbermagneticgoop wrote:now i forgot i think it was around 30% but i am not sure nowHigh Guard wrote:Power of Ten is a great show, what were the results on that question?

Though there would be some heavy resistance from many countries before that would happen, and at best, it would probably end up like the UN or something.High Guard wrote:30% That's a pretty big numbermagneticgoop wrote:now i forgot i think it was around 30% but i am not sure nowHigh Guard wrote:Power of Ten is a great show, what were the results on that question?

It will happen evidentially, the question is will it happen before we annihilate each other.muy_thaiguy wrote:Though there would be some heavy resistance from many countries before that would happen, and at best, it would probably end up like the UN or something.High Guard wrote:30% That's a pretty big numbermagneticgoop wrote:now i forgot i think it was around 30% but i am not sure nowHigh Guard wrote:Power of Ten is a great show, what were the results on that question?

Thats not fair. Larger countries should have more votes then smaller ones, otherwise larger ones like USA could just split each state into a country and have 52 votes rather then 1.High Guard wrote:30% That's a pretty big numbermagneticgoop wrote:now i forgot i think it was around 30% but i am not sure nowHigh Guard wrote:Power of Ten is a great show, what were the results on that question?

52 states...The USA could just "disband" and make each state a "country" so then each state has 1 vote each as they are now countries, meaning that what used to be USA now has 52 votes rather then just the 1.Arbustos wrote:Where are you getting 52 from?Titanic wrote:Thats not fair. that is why we have 2 sections of congress in the senate there are 2 senators for every state, in the house of representatives there are 435 representatives plus 4 Delegates and 1 Resident Commissioner that are based on percentages of population. so the small states get more power in the senate and the large states get more power in the house. but that is how it originally was intened now it is just politics and you could vote against a fellow state member to gain power for the political partyTitanic wrote:52 states...The USA could just "disband" and make each state a "country" so then each state has 1 vote each as they are now countries, meaning that what used to be USA now has 52 votes rather then just the 1.Arbustos wrote:Where are you getting 52 from?Titanic wrote:Thats not fair. I love the fact that it asks for only Americans to vote and then has an option for "I'm not an American".
If the do that they would loose their power, there will simply be 52 small votes each on their own.Titanic wrote:Thats not fair.
