I'm new here, so I suspect someone may have mentioned this, but could you put the number of armies on little white backgrounds? They are often hard to see. Just a thought.

That, I believe, is up to each individual map designer.

The rounds where the numbers are shown are added by the admins I think.

That is up to the individual map makers.

However, you can use a feature on the BOB script (located here) called Map Fade [usually 20-30% does the trick].
