I hate it. How does it work, and how is it supposed to make the game any funner?

Do you play with any strategy, or just click around until someone kills you? It's brilliant: in escalating games it forces you to spread out to see who's next in line to kill, and in flat rate and no cards games, it lets you hide your strength by strategic deployment.wrestler1ump wrote:I hate it. Could be a long-range attack ( D-D, KOTM...)

Well, do you have anymore countried bordering the country you just lost?
And maybe the game hides ALL countries names.

Maybe not. If you lose all your troops in one territory, and have none next to it, then how do they get the message to the rest of the army? They're all dead.dcowboys055 wrote:Oh Laaaaack, we definitely should be able to see what countries we lose, and where they were taken from, since they were adjacent to them at that time.
not if it was your first turn, like mine was...the guy took two places from me, and i have no idea what ones they were.BaldAdonis wrote:Maybe not. Besides, you should know which territories you have, so you can tell what you've lost.
Well, don't play 50 FoW at once.Visaoni wrote:Well, I still think you should at least know what country you lost. Fog of war or not, you know what country no longer listens to you. You shouldn't have to just remember it either. If you haven't played yet (1st turn) or if you just play too many games to remember it isn't fair and isn't logical.
As to where you were conquered from, and by who... I can make arguments either way. You can say all your men are dead, so you don't know. You can also say there is a distinct possibility they dispatched a messenger or just a normal message, depending on when you consider the time period to be.
But at least let us know what country we lost. In a real situation you would of course remember what you controlled and what you didn't, but some people (not me) play over 50 games. I usually play 25 and I don't always remember how the board looked my last turn.
Of course it's fair... it applies to all players equally!Visaoni wrote:it isn't fair
