Soon we shall just have a start button and it'll be all automated.

I understand what you guys are saying but if you dont need to study the map, dont need to gauge the strength of the opponents, dont need to work out the attack routes....err where is the skillRobinJ wrote:Bob really just saves a hell of a lot of time. The army and bonus counts are very useful when you're looking for eliminations and map inspect is my other favourite bit. Ever tried an elimination and thought you'd made it, only to find you've skipped a territory out somewhere? well map inspect solves that and makes it a lot easier to find where you want to attack. I couldn't play some of the newer maps without it cos I wouldn't know the attack routes.
No - BOB only extrapolates information that is in the log or the armies array (which is a numerical representation of the image)...jimboston wrote: Question... in a FOW game... does this help you "see" info you otherwise wouldn't see from the logs?
I think you need to change the formulacomic boy wrote:Im training a monkey to play my turns
Sorry to burst the bubble but the script doesn't actually do that.owenshooter wrote:you have gone to the dark side... i am saddened... one less CC soul player around. yet another non-counting, scroll over the map for strategy, mindless drone... sigh...-0whitestazn88 wrote:and i feel like ive been reborn.

I have been training my Goldfish to do back flips..Its involves a 12v battery and a tiny set of jump leads..he is doing good..Clever little git.Once he masters it.I'm going to teach him Risk too.comic boy wrote:Im training a monkey to play my turns

this is ridiculous, EXACTLY the same amount of skill is required, it simply saves me having to look over the map again and again and just makes peoples positions more clear to me.comic boy wrote:I understand what you guys are saying but if you dont need to study the map, dont need to gauge the strength of the opponents, dont need to work out the attack routes....err where is the skillRobinJ wrote:Bob really just saves a hell of a lot of time. I have already done thatKoE_Sirius wrote:Soon we shall just have a start button and it'll be all automated.
But what you're talking about isn't skill comic - it's just something that takes more time than it should. And Bob can't help me for strategy - I don't trust it for gauging strength too much and it is irrelevant in escalating anyway, which is what I play most ofcowboyz wrote:Agreed, or the fun for that mattercomic boy wrote:I understand what you guys are saying but if you dont need to study the map, dont need to gauge the strength of the opponents, dont need to work out the attack routes....err where is the skillRobinJ wrote:Bob really just saves a hell of a lot of time. People that use these things should also be branded with a big sign or something, scarlet letter style
Maybe give them some kind of icon in a wheelchair that lets people know they need help
You look?Kavok wrote:Uhm, how exactly am I supposed to know what territories connect to what on some of the maps without BOB? In World 2.1 for example.
