Ripping out lungs is way too hard. The only way you can actually get a full lung is by cutting the arteries and bronchi that connect to it because they are so damn sturdy. Unless you have inhuman strenght, ripping out lungs is not what you learn in medschool.

and that anime-theme makes just as much sense as any other theme I've seen so I'd say go with it.
