Help to someone who's completely new to this!

Hi All!
I've been playing conquer club for a while, and I've always just breezed past the "tournament" section of the "join a game" page. I've explored some of the posts on this forum, and I've noticed that several people have mentioned some sort of handbook. Could someone please explain to me the reasons why one might want to host and/or participate in a Tournament? Thanks so much!

I have never hear of a handbook. If you want to know about tournaments, pm on the tournament organizers and ask about that tournament.

Well...to me [and a lot of people], it gives an extra challenge. Like for some tourneys, you don't just have to win a game [though some are like that], and for other tournaments, you don't even have to win a game to win the tourney. It just gives another challenge. And as for hosting, well...think of it as giving back to the community.

Tournaments are fun because you play many different settings/maps that you might not always.
Each game has more meaning than just points.
Already mentioned, but you can advance rounds without having to win, so if you play well, you can make progress, even if you aren't the best.
Learn new strategies.
Try some! Nothing to lose.
