Champions of Europe 1977-78
acores2005 is the winner, succesfully leading his team to European glory.

Can you emulate the late great Bob Paisley's triumph of conquering Europe.
This 1 v 1 bracket tournament is the first of (at least) 5 tournaments based on the European exploits of Liverpool FC.
It is organised in conjunction with the MIghty Red Army social group. 6 places are reserved for group members.
Each round will be based on the actual ties that took place. Each two-legged tie involves 4 to 6 games. The final involves 2-4 games.

Players have plenty of energy therefore unlimited reinforcements.
Defences are tight and well organised therefore no spoils.
Win the game within 10 rounds and you score 2 goals.
Win the game within 16 rounds and you score 1 goal.
If the game takes more than sixteen rounds to conclude then no goals are scored.
Second half
Both teams have a better idea of each others' tactics - therefore no fog of war.

Possibly, enabling teams to score 3 goals in one half (with a win in 7 rounds or less)? Plus possible amendments to the numbers of rounds required to score a goal at different stages (e.g. make it harder in the first-half and easier in the second half? Plus, introducing the away goals rule? Also, possibly flat rate spoils in extra-time as subsitutes can have varying degrees of impact against tired opponents.
