Beta Maps Champion (Terminator)
The Beta Maps Champion is Jefreus
This is a 20-player tournament run in conjunction with the Map Explorers Usergroup (send me a PM for details - 8 spaces reserved for members).
Is is designed for players relatively inexperienced in the new beta maps, to work towards their Cross-Map Award.
Thanks to Tupence for his help with this tournament.
The tournament features the following maps:

Spoiler
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.
Spoiler
Winners of each match are expected to PM the Tournament Organiser the order in which players finished (1st, 2nd etc.), and no. of terminations for each player. Players must send this PM within 1 hour of match completion to be awarded the additional 2 points for winning the match.
Spoiler
The position of players after 24 rounds will determine how points are awarded. The remainder of the game would then be a points-only affair. This means that players score points for terminations before the end of round 24 and the players with most terminations at this point share the 2 points for winning.
Spoiler
All reserves will be sent a PM when an opening occurs. The first reserve to respond will gain a place.
For the first round, reserves will be drawn from the reserve list.
For the semi-finals, reserves will be drawn from players previously eliminated. If this is unsuccessful then matches will continue with one fewer player. a reserve will be recruited by mass PM (again 24-hour response time).
For the finals, reserves will not be sought - matches in question will take place with one fewer player.

Spoiler
Players must inform the tournament organiser if they have a regular partner or opponent that is also featuring in the tournament. The organizer can then ensure these players do not play together to avoid any potential claims of foul play by other players.
If reports of suspected foul play are made and the players in question have not declared that they are regular partners / opponents then they will be both be ejected from the tournament without question or the need for irrefutable evidence.
