A sticky is a thread with a red exclamation mark instead of a red star. They are found at the very top of the regular topics, but underneath announcements.

Topics which are deemed important enough by the mods to be "stickied" to the top of the list. Take the General Discussion Forum as an example. Go to that link and scroll down a little bit. You will see some threads with red "!" next to their title on the list.

They don't move down the list, even when another topic is bumped into life.

[Father]: Sit down PawningCripp.

A sticky is... well, y'see...

*sigh*

Sometimes, son.. when a post is bumped into submission by a young noob... it shoots right up to the top of the page. There are thousands and thousands of tiny little posts like this in the Big And Long List of the Server, but only a select few of these ever become 'stickies'. ... (He turns to Gloria) f*ck it Gloria, he'll pick it up at school anyway.
