US technology sucks

The new iPhone will support 7.2mbps over wireless....but AT&T hasn't deployed it yet....
The march to a faster 3G--7.2 HSPA is sometimes called 3.5G--will continue unabated. Several carriers have already installed 14.4 Mbps HSDPA on their networks, and a 21 Mbps flavor is in service in Austria, Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore, according to the GSM Association.
Fiat just bought Chrysler, cause American technology sucks and we need italy to fix it for us...
Even the US Pentagon picked Airbus for airplanes instead of their own countries Boeing...
Hummer is getting sold to China...cause we can't even make the military vehicles for our troops in Iraq....
The US broadband (wired) is about 4mbps....while japan is 60+...
Basically...our country fucking blows.

Don't worry, 3 red neck f*ck wits voted that the Apollo 10 module was more important than the V2 rocket motor that stuck in space in the first place.
Some Americans will believe that all things American (and newish) are wicked, no matter what else went before it.

if you think about it, we have twice the population of japan and probably over 10 times the area, which I know is an excuse about the internet speed, but that does help explain it, and we have more important things to worry about than internet speed right now

I don't have a problem with internet speed at all..
I remember back when my dad got a computer that had a CD burner on it, so I would spend hours downloading songs from Napster (yes, this is a while ago) and an average 3 to 4 MB song would take a good 20 to 30 minutes to download. Then once I had made a playlist, it would take a good couple of hours to burn the CD, it would be an overnight process really.
I guess in direct comparison, the internet speed is great! - Also, there are 1001 more important things to worry about and fix up before we give overweight perverts faster access to porn

... I had fiber optic internet in Japan and I could watch TV on my cell phone. It felt like going back in time when I came home to the states.
... He's right, US tech sucks. We invent a lot of cool things but other nations slim them down and make them run better and faster.
...

The Top Selling Car in the United States is not the Toyota Camery or Honda Accord.
Designed by a former Chrysler guy and manufactured in Ohio, 457,000 sold in 2008
and ten million have been sold over the past thirty years.
America's best selling car is the
Cozy Coupe.

oh, and the iphone 3.0 firmware will support "tethering" (Hook the phone to a laptop and use the phone to get internet access for the laptop), and will also support MMS (picture messaging etc). Unfortunately, AT&T's network doesn't support either. supposedly. but if you jailbreak your iphone, tethering works just fine. So it's not the network, probably just the fact that AT&T hasn't figured out how to bill their customers out the ass for the ability to do that....

Why France? Because they whine a lot over there too. You'd probably fit right in.

I don't think tech had anyhting to do with Chrysler's downfall.
Space Shuttle? Man on the moon? Missile Defense? Stealth fighters and bombers? M-1 tanks?
Yeah, sorry you can't download porn as fast as japan. Or use your iphone as much as you want.
I will take American tech ANYDAY over others.

Oh yeah, I also forgot all the medical advances our horrible health system has developed...liver transplants, cancer treatments, artificial hearts, polio vaccine. How about GPS, that seems to be pretty handy. And some older stuff: electricity, steam engine, submarine, telephone.
In other words, the rest of the world would still be in the dark ages if not for us(a).
PS Rest of the world, you are welcome.

Congratulations for spouting off random bullshit and proving you know nothing about what you're talking about. For the record, there is no artificial heart (not a real one, anyway), electricity just is, nobody invented it, steam engine dates back to at least the 1600's, the concept of the submarine dates back to antiquity and the first actual submarine was built by Ukrainians. Oh, and the telephone was invented by a Scotsman in Canada.

Ahh you got me there....I did mean nuclear sub!Telephone is pretty much attributed to AG Bell. There are artificial hearts, Jarvik developed one.
But yeah, you know what you are talking about with the steam engine. Perhaps I was thinking the steam boat, but not sure if that is true either.
How about the assembly line? Or was that used by the ancient Egyptians to build pyramids?
I think the main message is: US tech does not suck.

Nuclear fission was developed by an Italian, and as previously stated, Ukranians developed the first sub. Big whoop for combining the two.
Bell was Canadian, he only had a labratory in the US.
First artificial heart was developed in US, but not by Jarvik.
The first steamboat was constructed in England, sunk, and then the first working model was developed by the French. Then the US developed one in DC.
Oh, and the first assembly line was developed in Venice during the Rennaisance, to build boats. The first modern assembly line was in England in the 1800's.
This is so fun!
