A controversial suit brought by a U.S. Army reservist has been joined by a retired Army two-star general and an active reserve Air Force lieutenant colonel.

Regardless of your position on Obama refusing to release his birth documents, I think it is of interest that so many in the military question his legitimacy. These are high ranking officers, and when Generals and Colonels start to talk, as they are, interesting things have been known to happen through out history.

It's worth noting that every man and woman in the military has taken an oath to protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. What do you think is their commitment to said oath?

Moot point. The refusal to release birth documents is a an interwebs myth. The courts have already reviewed all documentation and made a ruling... prior to the 2008 presidential election.

The only legitimate aspect to Cook's actions is his declaration as a "conscientious objector." Several politically motivated lawsuits challenging Obama's citizenship have already been heard in Federal Court and dismissed. So this birth certificate BS is not only yesterday's news, it's boring.

Officers can be just as stupid as anyone else.

I challenge you to find information regarding Obama's birth records being reviewed in court.

To date no court has reviewed any birth certificate documents but a number of cases have been thrown out without review.

Regardless, this thread isn't about that. This is about members of the military questioning the legitimacy of their Commander in Chief, and what that could entail.

I wouldn't dispute that, but the number of people concerned with this issue, coupled with their ranks, is not completely irrelevant.

Once again, I think it's very strange that you have to show your birth certificate to become a private but not to become Commander in Chief.

Google is your friend, do your own fact finding and quit relying on bullshit internet hearsay. The biggest case filed to date occurred prior to the election in a Federal Court located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

If this U.S. Army reservist's lawsuit is based entirely on President Barack Obama's citizenship he will lose. Because no politically motivated dumbasses --regardless of their military status-- can change the facts. Only his conscientious objector declaration will save his ass from being deployed now that he's changed his mind about how he wants to fulfill his commitment to the military.

Here is the document in question. Consider printing it, rolling it up and sticking it up your butt. That way you will see it every day and always have it handy for quick and easy reference.

True it's a controversial lawsuit... but hardly headline newsworthy.

Not to mention that all those officers have completely trashed their careers now. But that's fine, if a couple of colonels want to ruin any and all chances for promotion or even a new command, it's their life. I wouldn't want to serve under them anyway.

What it almost certainly entails is a very simple court-martial.

Once again, I think it's very strange that you believe what you hear rather than seriously checking into it yourself. The information has already been posted in this thread, so I won't repeat it...but it is out there to be found.

Can birth certificates not be faked anymore? We live in a corrupt world, I don't think anyone here disputes that. To my knowledge, which is limited( omg), there has been no proof other than his birth certificate. Understandably that's about the only possible proof to have of someone's birth, but I'm sure if he in fact wasn't born in Hawaii someone would be willing to testify with evidence.

They have come forward and so have people attesting the opposite. Bottom line, the matter was settled by people who had the time and energy to track all this down. I am not one of those. I trust the courts in this matter.

I was really hoping, at the time, that the song played at Obama's victory celebration would be "Born in the USA". You know, just to freak out the captaincrazy's of the world.
