I'm a lifelong Cardinals fan (favorite player: Ozzie Smith). Halladay would be a HELL of a pickup for you guys.

the NL will come down to the Cardinals, Dodgers, and Phils
but if we get Halliday the Phillies are basically unbeatable in a 7 game series but nothing is guaranteed

Diehard Yankees fan.
Doubt the Jays will trade Halladay, period. They'll lose him to free agency, though.

they're obviously trying to trade Halladay
Does that mean they'll come to a deal? No, I doubt it'll go through.

My Tigers got a much needed double header sweep of the Chi Sox today, opening a 2 game lead over them for the division.

Good thing they didn't play the Sox yesterday.

I'm still irritated about it. Not as irritated as the crazy dudes calling up on the radio, though.
"Trade Quentin!"
"Fire Colon!"
"Guilen sucks!"
Ha, just a few of the small joys that come with being a Chi Sox fan.

Braves fan so I can't exactly say I'm happy about you guys getting Halladay, especially when it looks like the Braves are starting to show signs of becoming a good team again.
Favorite player: I'm split between several
Favorite Braves Player: Bryan McCann
Favorite pitcher: I like Halladay alot. Smoltz still holds a place up there from his Braves days and though now retired Maddux.
Favorite Braves Pitcher: Right now I have high hopes for Tommy Hanson.

Well it happened. I have been hearing a lot about "why trade Halladay?" Well if the team feels that they can't get him back as a free agent might as well get something for him before he goes off.

Greg Maddux was an exemplary player and person. A true pitcher, rather than a thrower like many are.

Yes Maddux had the most wicked movement to his fastball and his carreer ERA with Atlanta was exceptionally low at 2.63 (it might be 2.64) from 1993-2003.
Pinpoint accuracy too and about as smart with his placement as any pitcher out there.

Detroit just rallied in the 9th to tie Chicago, then beat them in the 10th on a Carlos Guillen single, scoring Clete Thomas. 3 game lead now for the Tigers!

I guess I was wrong. I just thought I heard something about the Halladay making his debut start for them.
