I've been into music mash-ups since the Grey Album came out. Anybody know any good ones?
If you're not sure, a mash-up is a mix of two or more songs together. Often with the music to one and the lyrics to the other.
(Edit- I'll add the good mash-ups here)
Beatles vs Coldplay (Symmetry)
Beatles vs NIN (GabonX)
Nickelback Mashup (Timminz)
Prodigy vs Enya (Symmetry)
Jay Z vs Hendrix (Hecter)
Jay Z vs Linkin Park (pimpdave)

I once heard an orchestral version of The Sugar Plum Fairy which was also the Beatles Eight Days a Week.

Not sure I get the first part of your post, but that's a great mash-up.
Have some Enya vs the Prodigy:

That's actually pretty awesome on stereo headphones. You get one song in each ear, but they sync nicely. Clever mix.
Have something truly weird:
Benny Hill vs Eminem featuring Doctor Who

I like the one of the coldplay song over the satriani tune that they stole it from.
A couple months ago I had two radios going on two different stations for some reason. One was playing soak up the sun by sheryl crow and the other was playing have you ever seen the rain by ccr. It was pretty eerie.

Heh- I did hear a weird one, not a mash-up, of the Beatles and Rolf Harris singing "Tie My Kangaroo Down". That was just weird though.

I presume you've heard Rolf's version of "Stairway to Heaven".

This is one of my favorites.
I doubt many people here like either genre though
