This is a 32 player tournament with two 16 player (1 V 1) brackets. One bracket is the 'Obaman' Bracket that will play on the Chicago map. The other bracket is the 'Dubyan' Bracket that will play on the Texas map.
The tournament is open to freemiums and premiums.
So when joining, indicate whether you will are an Obaman or Dubyan. You will not be admitted into the tournament if you do not specify which bracket you want to be in.
Please note: That a player joining either side is not considered a political endorsement for that politician. Although it is recommended that you join the side of the politician that you 'respect' more.
Bracket seedings will be determined via random.org.
Games per match-up will be based on an escalating system (listed below):
Bracket Play (Both Brackets)
Opening Round: 1 Games - Winner Advances Quarterfinals: 3 Games - Majority Winner Advances Semifinals: 5 Games - Majority Winner Advances Finals: 7 Games - Majority Winner Advances
Finals Match-Up (Two Bracket Winners)
The Final Match-Up will be the Obaman Bracket Winner versus the Dubyan Bracket Winner in a nine game series. The Bracket Winner with the best winning percentage will get home map advantage (An extra game on his map should the series go the full nine games). See the schedule below.
Finals Schedule

If both bracket winners have the same exact winning percentage then an alternate finals schedule will be used. See schedule below.
Alternate Finals Schedule
Game 1 - USA Map Game 2 - USA Map Winner (On his/her original home map) Game 3 - USA Map Winner (On his/her original home map) Game 4 - USA Map Loser (On his/her original home map) Game 5 - USA Map Loser (On his/her original home map) Game 6 - USA Map Winner (On his/her original home map) Game 7 - USA Map Loser (On his/her original home map) Game 8 - USA Map Winner (On his/her original home map) Game 9 - USA Map Loser (On his/her original home map)
If you're going for homecourt advantage, I don't think your alternate format really works because it means the 9th game is played on the loser's map. Just do whoever is the higher rank, beat a higher rank in their bracket final, or flip a coin.

Alternate map schedule isn't about giving home map adv as both teams would be tied. It just gives the winner of the Game 1 the opportunity to have more matches on his/her map if the series doesn't go the full 9 games.
