I don't know if Rangoon is the contemporary capital of Burma or not, but in 1893, Burma and Rangoon were part of the Madras Presidency (and the Madras Army), whose seat of government was in Madras. As you follow the thread of this discussion, you'll see that Burma was broken out as a separate continent in an attempt to improve gameplay (also Lahore and Disa).
I know that (I didn't like the change, but majority rule i guess)

I found this in Wikipedia:
wikipedia wrote:Britain made Myanmar a province of India in 1886 with the capital at Rangoon.

Good map. Maybe have a bonus of an extra two for holding all of the old ones you had (like madras, etc) while keeping the original bonuses.

*Bump*

This map has been gathering dust in the bowels of the Foundry basement. I hate to let the work go for nothing, so I'm asking for one more round of comments or suggestions. This is my last attempt before abandoning this map.

Good to see effort still. When I've got a little time I'll look over it and throw some thoughts out.

Looks great to me, I can't find any faults with it.

My only considerations would be the bonus for Disa to be reduced to 5.

Your map is very beautiful; you have same awesome digital edition skill.

Continents: 7
Countries:36
Bigger Continent: 7 countries
Smaller Continent: 5 countries
Aren’t you missing anything?

Unless you are building a game exclusivity for 3-4 players. You need to review the number of countries; you would need to add at least 10 more countries. You also need 1 big continent and 1 or more small continents.

The map is very attractive but it lucks playability

Why does every map have to play the same? I see no problem with any map offering different gameplay as a result of continent size. People are so focused on having 40+ countries and at least one small and one large continent. Why?

Do you have to hold the capital to hold the continent?

Not every map has to be a classic rehash. If you look, we have a good number that aren't.

Anyways, I love the visual style, as I have mentioned many times before. An awesome eye catching map. I do suggest getting rid of the 'White Army Shadows'...as white just makes it look like someone has took a paper hole puncher to your map. There is enough white on the maps with the names, so I'd like to see a more transparent look. Perhaps...even if you want to play with it...using squares as Sully mentioned in another thread. Anyways, no matter what you do, you are going to have to make the shadows bigger, as they seem to be too small to hold 2 army coordinates.

Also a minor thing, I'd make the 'unpassable descriptions', that is located in the ocean, a little smaller and less obtrusive.

I am slightly concerned with...your twin continents. Two 3's, Two 4's, Two 6's [Excluding the capitals]. I really wouldn't mind seeing a continent that was smaller, less borders, and a value of 2. Or a continent value of 5 if you can manage it.

That said, something interesting to note...should you lower each of the continent by 1 value point, as each does have a capital that get get +1 for? Or did you intend to make it the way you currently have it?

Too bad for Madras continent, as the Madras country could be easily kept in check...eliminating the +1 bonus for the capital...as all the other capitals are not border countries. So if someone breaks a continent other than Madras, you at least have the possibility of getting +1 if they don't make it far enough to take that particular country.

ok let see.
1. visual, i think its finish.
2.Maybe its better for capital to holding all for 1 big bonuses.
3.Create country 2 big,2 medium and 2 small,these will be better.

Colors for your map

Postby AraAmanda on Sat Mar 31, 2007 1:43 am

You might go with some deeper but brighter shades for your colors. They are kind of muted to be honest..although those are my favorite colors. Just in my own opinion, it seems to me that people seem to play the maps that are more brightly colored no matter how beautiful the scheme may be.

already been answered but sikhs live everywhere around the world and in indian punjab they make up about 62%
In england in some regions such as wolverhampton there are 3 or 4 times more sikhs than muslims
