I don't ever see God punishing people for their parents evil, either. Specific examples are much more helpful than broad, sweeping statements.

No no, inerrancy means the is no error in the scripture whatsoever. The Bible is 100% true and should be taken totally literal.

FYI It's not the execution that costs so much its the appeals, the prosecution, etc. which make the life sentence roughly $100,000 cheaper per criminal than the execution.

well if you look at feudalism from the outside, since so much of rights to eventual land ownership rested in the first son, what were you going to do with all those extra sons. They clearly didnt have a whole lot of economic future, and seemingly were going to need something to do to keep them away ...
