But surely that's a hollow objection - it's the online equivalent of grabbing the board and throwing it in the air! Surely we could simply report that blatant cheating to the site managers to have the game declared void, or the person banned, like we do with multi account holders.

Replacements in Real Time Games *Rejected*

It seems to this little black duck that having the capacity to replace a player in an RT game would be a good thing. As a Premium member, I would love to have that capacity on private games I create. If a player fails to take a turn in 10 minutes, he is liable to be booted and a replacement player ...

The Dude 2 and Balloonman [Busted]

These are suspected Multis

Suspect users: The Dude 2 and Balloonman

Game number: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=115575

Comments: The Dude 2 indicates he is also Balloonman in the game chat. I don't think he means any harm.

Probably right, the US won't do this, but it's what's needed, I think.

Yeah, I do actually. Australia & NZ do it in the Pacific. You put in enough troops to make sure that any trouble will be controlled, and have a large contingent of humanitarian workers there to actually kick-start the country.

Now, in Iraq, "a large number of troops" means a fair sight more than ...

I think that the then administration was genuinely wanting to establish a major Arab US ally. It might be related to oil, but my gut says that was a side-benefit to the idea of having a stable democracy in Iraq. The irony is that they thought that Iraqis would embrace a new regime, even one closely ...

Concerning reasons for the war: I remember that there were three major reasons put by the coalition Govts to their respective peoples:

1. Iraq was complicit in 9/11.

2. Iraq was in breach of the Gulf War 1 peace treaty and had WMDs. Further negotiations on inspections etc were not viable ...

America-bashing

I voted no. I spent a year in California too many years ago, and I still have some really good friends there. One of my groomsmen came over from CA for my wedding. Generally speaking, there are many very nice, eminently reasonable Americans. I meet them in real life, I watch them on TV, and I ...

I'd like to know a bit about programmes run in other churches for men. What's the model you're using? How successful is it? We are starting now to get young families back into my denomination - something missing for the last generation - but the women are usually more active than the blokes. I have ...
