Re: South Africa 1885 - BETA!

I think I see the misunderstanding here.

Nikola thinks it means that the bonuses only double for one round. This is not possible with the XML, bonuses are static and can't be made to change round-to-round.

That bonuses only double once means that if you hold a fort, your bonuses are doubled, but ...

Re: BOB 5.1.3

Can't update to FF4 (requires OSX 10.5+). Manually changed FF 3.6.13 settings so latest copy of GM could install. Now BOB doesn't load (install button is blue, but does nothing when clicked). Any ideas?

Re: French and Indian War

Excellent idea! I think its a great start but I have a few crits for you.

The colored indian territories... they're a bit hard to find and I think a player without BOB will have an exceedingly difficult time trying to figure it out.

The squares and circles are tough to read as well.

I also ...

Re: French and Indian War

I'm thinking colours like this:
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/historical/ward_1912/america_north_french_british_1763.jpg

You know, "antique" colours.

Now I see what you are talking about. :)

Thanks for your input, I will see if I can work these "antique" colours into my map.

Cheers.

Re: French and Indian War

Thank you hatchman, jefjef and RedBaron0 for your valuable input. =D> =D> =D>

jefjef, I have been thinking the scope was too large and narrowing it to just the northeast where the battles historically took place. That way I can make it so the objectives are clearer and not blocked by the armies ...

Re: French and Indian War

You sure you wanna go with those colours? It just doesn't seem to fit the specific time period...

Otherwise it's a really nice idea.

Thanks for the encouragement. The French flag at the time was white with little fleur-de-leurs on it (CLEARLY not an option  ). I found another map color ...

Re: French and Indian War

Now why didn't I think of this one  A very good concept here, just make sure it is historically accurate (as much as possible). First thing that jumped out are the territory names. You're going to have to change them. Arcadia- if I remember my Canadian history right - is actually Acadia ...

Reaadddddd when someone replies to you!

That is how it's supposed to work.

I am saying in Game 4462102, the armies any player placed in the desert AND at the Grand Oasis (1, 2 or 3) never declined. I placed a barrier of 4 armies in each desert spot around the Grand Oasis and there was still 4 ...

Re: Oasis [Quenched]

The Negative Bonus doesn't work the way it should. Instead of reducing the number of troops, the Negative Bonuses are taken at the beginning, then the Positive Bonuses are taken. It should be the other way around. If you have more negatives than positives, then you don't get any armies for ...
