nope i dont miss anything, the things that are extra in that image are not real roman territories that were place were the armies collided

I can tell it was inspired by that image, but it is different enough that I don't feel any worries about copyright problems. It is a part of the world and I'm not sure how else you'd represent it.

quert, try saving your images in .bmp format.

It tends to come out at better quality when i use it.

Other than that, try decreasing the contrast a bit on the images on the surrounding land (outside of the empire).

right now the brown is a bit overpowering for the rest of the map.

Your current image layout wise is fine and legable. However i refuse to comment further because i moved it into photoshop and resized it to see that as a small is unacceptable.

I would always advise starting with a small image to ensure that there isnt as many issues whne you resize it for the large.

To get the small version acceptable i would take the extra 40px width (Under colemans aceptance) and reduce your outerboarder size to give you more space.

I would also look into filling the dead space you have around the map with anything to make it feel more roman.

Your color choice atm is fine and i dont have a problem with them.

The outer boarder needs more detail otherwise i feel its jsut a waste of space.

you want to create Roman empire when hes whas bigest,right,(these is what you present in yours map)so you mising some provinces,and its very easy to find these in google images, search for maps of Roman Empire.

Can you tell me what provinces Romans not realy capture?

You can go to Wikipedia,they have very good informacion of roman empire.

Also yours map must present these map,when Roman emire whas bigest?

I really like Guiscard's map more in every way.
Nicer gfx, better continents, better terits, capital citys...etc.

The Roman empire had a lot of important cities, and this should be implemented into the map. Also, either use the continents above posted by qwert, or maybe do time periods. The Romans gained different lands at different times.
