Imagine this, its January 5th 2009, you are quietly browsing the intelligent conversation forum, when suddenly...BOOM! An atom bomb has been dropped in a city couple of hundreds of miles away from ya. The destruction wave cant reach ya, neither can heat or radiation waves. The after shock of the tragedy already subsided, what do you do now?

Reality check- who do you think would win the 3rd world war? And lets keep this realistic, there is no way Romania would even be a competitor.

The "big guns" - USA, Russia, China, Europe, Cuba.
Please provide reasonable evidence to your decision, and out of patriotic reasons you are allowed to post something like "U-S-A, U-S-A", but just once.

I would express my opinion once I have seen some valuable info being put out there.

Not sure why that would be an option.

But yeah with nuclear warfare the answer is quite simple, everyone loses. There's more then enough nuclear weapons to destroy the entire world twice over.

It's not too likely that it would come down to that. Tensions will most likely be like that of the cold war. NATO on one side China / Russia / Iran on the other. There will be proxy wars, primarily in the middle east (kinda like now, but in a more "korean war" kind of sense.)

Who will be the victor? I'd probably give it to China because the U.S. has fundamentaly deterioted in terms of basic economic structure and would not be able to fund a cold war (Hell China owns a large part of the U.S. Debt, if they call it in, the American economy crashs).


Though I think it's very possible nukes will go off, but nations won't be responsible, indivduals / organizations will. Just look at the unrest in Pakistan, and they got 60 war heads, a few of those may very well go "missing", then we're in trouble.

Well, if US collapses, so does China, since we are so interwoven in these things. And it would only be WWIII in name only, as there have been several World Wars to begin with.

Yeah for now. The Americans = the consuming market for China's exports.

But their GDP is steadily increasing, and it won't be long before they are able to act as their own consumers (thus being self-sufficent).

And actually that's something Americans should be very worried about, you really shouldn't allow so much debt in the hands of foreign bodies. It's to the point where one phone call = economic collapse.

if a neuclear bomb was to detonate i wud go to my local sainsbury's and mug everything there and i will go to my basement playing my 360 but with no live obviously cause connection problems also barricading my door to stop muggers and i already have barricades on my windows so thats nothing to worry about and also ill close my curtains and use candles to preserve energy and have a knive by my side at all times

Now, I will share with you my opinion of what is to come.

The Mayan calendar finishes in 2012....stops.....just like that. Some cynical peo[ple may think it is because they ran out of paper.....oh no no. They knew something.

A soviet-sino force will emerge, they have already began to flex theuir muscles together, what with the large army show-off in red square last year. They will ally with korea, iran, probably Italy (but only up until the [point that they begin losing). They will at first try espionage, and attempt to sniper off some of our western overlords....some will be succesful, some will not.

Then they will just think "vukk it, leeeets send ze vuking nukesski's in"

And then we all die.

Everyone would kill eachother and the bugs would win. Roaches can spawn so fast, that at least one or two would be born with the ability to withstand a nuclear attack. Theyre small, and ugly, but they would survive past the humans in the case of a 3rd World War...which will come eventually!
