Gotta say I dig the cairns coral coast map. Between the mountains, rivers, one way mountain passes and isles, it has a lot to offer.

aor series but circus maxima and pearl harbour are also in the mix
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Well, it is in my area, I have not locked it. If someone of more forum expertise wants to they might but for now let's give the new people a chance to post. Get them use to the forum, Then they may become as good at using the search button as the rest of us. (where is that search button by the way, I have never used it)

I care,!!

Someone starting a new thread about a topic they are curious about is a good thing. It shows interest in the site and the forums. These forums are a great resource for information gathering and learning what people on the site enjoy playing , talking about, and responding to. I find that sometimes starting a new thread, that has not been hijacked , or filled already with other peoples opinions, opens the door to new discussion and view points on the subject.

Just because you (owenshooter) read every thread that gets started, does not mean others who are new to the forums have.
Stop your babbling for awhile, and let people get used to surfing the site. In time they will learn to use the search options, (if they choose to use it).

I enjoy , Pearl harbor flat, unlimited, FOG, as well as Classic escalating chained.
There are many other maps that I like, but these two maps are my favorites right now.

I also find that arctic is well done, and is a good map to play doubles on. I suggest trying all the maps at least once, just so you get a feel for the little qwerks that each one has.

Favorite map so far is Feudal War, before that was Great Lakes.

I like AoM 8-player no cards unlimited freestyle. I don't know whether I love fog of war more, less or equally on that map.

That game type is good because you attract two kinds of people: people new to the map that have never played it before and will likely never play it again after you completely dominate them with your experience and knowledge of its complexities, and professionals with the map who will give you a real run for your money.

Also it seems to attract a disproportionate amount of deadbeats. I was once the only person in a six-player game who didn't deadbeat. Easiest 100 points I ever won.

I love world 2.1 the best by far. Enough territories to have a decently long game, and interesting to see the various strategies people use.
