Iran will being terrorising their neighbors, China will start making moves on Taiwan, North Korea will reopen old wounds, Japan will be forced to defend themselves, Russia will be posturing to take advantage of the chaos and the US and said-led coalition will be right in the thick of it.

Well, it seems some parties/groups there are pushing for it, and others are pushing to reinstate the Tsar. Of course that's not all of them, but still, it is some of them.

Er, and just because some people want something that they will actually implement it? It won't be implement it because the government doesn't want to implement it. If it does, so what? Will the US start another Cold War because it's got the "War On Communism". I actually don't see why the US needs to suppress Communism anyway, only because it's against its ideological belief. "No one can have your ideological belief, but everybody can have mine".. Hmm, sounds abit wrong?
Anyway, that's off topic. I don't believe Russia will reinstate the Soviet Union any time soon.

I think Taiwan is more of a flashpoint between teh US and China than Korea.
I doubt it will start. Not in a traditional military sense.
