i was thinking the attack routes are you can attack only those on the next stop either way and to get on another route you attack of a stop that joins to another e.g. Mile End

and i was thinking for holding a certian amout of places in a route you get extra armies, so say about 1/3 of the route equals 7 armies so 21 armies per route.

the amount of armies you recieve can be changed around a bit.

anyone with extra ideas post them

Yeah, actually a lot of copyright issues. It was relatively early in the Foundry.

I still don't know why we can't change the names and come up with a new "Going Underground" logo and name.

Someone essentially could create a unique and original 'Going Underground' style map...that was inspired by this. :)

Well the graphic is copyrighted, but the names are not. It wouldn't take much to throw the names on some different colored lines and such.

What graphic? The lines or the going underground logo? Why not just flip it and rename everything and call is Subway Scramble or Metro Madness or Whatever?

the lines and the logo as well as names are copyrighted/trademarked. A map of the london subway system is not though.

If someone just redid the lines which wouldnt take very long and shifted some around and made a few other differentiating adjustments, they should not be an issue. Call it london underground or something.

good idea

well all the inter changes circles wouldn't matter as the would be all around the map for the armies, if there were the interchanges circle the would be different shapes anyway

So since this is abandoned. Can I take it over? Shouldn't be too hard to switch up the lines and adjust the territories to make it look a little different but play the same.

I will start my own thread and link to the original. Plus everyone that worked on it before will get credit.

Sound good everyone?

Sorry. I am pretty sure I will run out of room for all of those names.

----------------------------------------------
SO, just to make it clear, what exactly was copyrighted?

The actual names of the lines and stations?
The location of the colored lines and stations?

I guess I am planning on keeping the same gameplay while altering the location of the stations and line ONLY graphically. The map will look slightly different but play the same as it is designed now.

Plus I will switch up the colors and then we can all work on teh names?

I hope to have a draft but the weekend. if I can find a couple hours I should be good except for the names.

I'd dig through the old thread, and read up on it all. If it's not in there...I don't recall...and you'll have to go searching in other places!
