Can I play my partners turn in a doubles game?

Post by kevin0023 »

I got my twin brother hooked on this game and until now we have not played in any doubles games. We just recently started about 15 games together and he wanted me to take his turns due to not having access to a pc for a while. Am I able to do this? Thanks for any insight into this matter!

You mean he can't take his turns for a couple days? or just doesn't want to? Explain...

Oh boy...

Well, account sitting is allowed as long as you aren't in any games together. The exception to that is if you're on the same team. You may also not account sit for somebody if they aren't going to miss a turn. So that means that you can't just pop on and take their turns if they have another 10 hours left and they'll be back to take their turn in 5 hours, or something like that (now, if they say that they're leaving for a day and it's been twelve hours, that shouldn't stop you from taking their turns, but if they're just at school/work and they should be on when they always are, then you shouldn't). You also should not start any new games or make any posts on the forum or anything like that (I just consider those to be guidelines, however. For more information about what can be done, ask the user browng-08  ). Lastly, though it's not necessary, it's a common thing to do (out of politeness) to announce in game chat that you're taking that persons turns. I never do it though, but some people do...

I've taken turns for my partners when they have gone on business trips and vacations. I don't see any problem with that. If there is, then I've been breaking the rules.

Come to think of it....lot's of people are probably breaking the rules if they can't take their partner's turns when they have a legitimate absence.

It is allowed lokis, if you're babysitting your partner's account while they are away for an extended period of time, i.e. they will miss all their turns in all games. What isn't allowed is taking your partner's turn if they're not going to miss turns. Feel free to PM twill, but no need as the answer is still the same.
