I just made a stupid mistake. I was trying to take out a player so I would cash out his cards, and i looked at the map and thought he was centralized. well after i had taken all those countries out, it didnt give me his cards. then i realized that he had one country left at the very bottom of the screen.
then another stupid one, was attacking the wrong country while i was trying to take out a player. I got stuck, and somebody else took him out.

Oh come now - we've all done that from time to time. But what does help is BOB, if you haven't already got it. The map inspect funtion really helps you plan your attacks properly

yeah, if you aren't clever enough to count and figure things out on your own.. i'm old school, play like a real man!! i even throw my laptop across the room when i lose, just like my big brother used to throw the board at me and my other brother after eliminating him via a not so secret alliance... -0
p.s.-yeti, loosen up. it is a great tool, but some of us just prefer to be Conquer Club Soul Players (hmmmm, i smell a new Klan coming on!!)

Well I may not be old school but I am old. I keep losing track of the count. Thank the risk gods for bob.
And yes I have had days like that, Far to many as I play against RobinJ
Yup... it happens. I've made a huge deployment on Columbia on the W 2.1 map when Panama was where they needed to be and made the same mistake with Irian Jaya and Sulawesi. Recently in France I totally screwed up and accidently dropped armies on Maine when I really really really needed them to be on Marne.
never make a move before finishing that first cup of coffee in the morning
on one of my first goes at the assassin style i was totally dominating. i had my target on the ropes with noone else having any chance at eliminating theirs.
i figured all i had to do was eliminate the player next to me, take his cards and i would then steamroll over my target.
oops, game over - i should have read the rules more closely.
went for an elimination in an escalating, and accidentally advanced all when i meant to advance zero so missed the last teritory, was a freestyle and the other guy jumped in and eliminated him got his cards and won, fucking one touch of the mouse cost me 40 points! ARGH.

I must agree with the coffee comment, I cannot count the # of bad deployments or accidental mis clicks, when I take turns, b4 my eyes are fully open.

If you were really old school you wouldn't be playing on a computer.
Could have won the game, but i misclicked and cornered my armies against myself, so i couldnt attack my opponent. game is currently 2 rounds longer than it should have been.
Last night I saw the announcement that the forum would be down for an upgrade, and when a few turns opened up in my games started to play. I did not see a NOTICE that the entire site would be down, until I was in the middle of an attack... ouchf*ck me.
