in the other hand mexico has a few but they are top quality players. even the players that dont play in europe are pretty good.
mexico set the pace in the game and stepped over the US.
one thing that i dont get its that if the US is so confident that they are better than mexico then how come they never play in mexican soil?
Sure, Mexico has Marquez and dos Santos from Barca, and Salcido from PSV, but other than that, from their squad last night, i don't see many club teams that they play for that I would consider better than Fulham (Dempsey, Bocanegra) or Everton (Howard).
I would have to severely dispute your contention that Mexico stepped all over the US because the US should have been up 3-1 at halftime as Dempsey's goal should have counted. That strike was an example of world class talent from a world class player.
As for playing on Mexcian soil, the game was in Houston and the crowd was about 75% pro-Mexican. Landon Donovan had to avoid being hit with empty beer cups and other debris when he was taking corners. so it was basically an away match for the US. if they had wanted to they could have played the game in Columbus or Chicago or New York.
