Sea warfare maps

This is just a suggestion for what could be done to improve maps with sea on them. Why not have maps with sea-going territories, to spice things up a bit? It may have been thought of before, but has never been put into action, and I ask why.

by sea-going, do u mean:

1. have attack routes on water?

thats already done

2. make actual bodies of water be territories of their own?

check out alexander's empire map. it has water terts with armies.

When I saw this topic, I thought it was perhaps an idea about Warships at battle...in the high seas...which sounds like an interesting idea.

But the poster may have meant why aren't there 'ship' territories on maps?

Take a look at the CWC's dark age britain map. That may be what you're looking for.

You mean like in Alex's Empire, Western Front, Battle for Australia, D-Day, Pearl Harbor, and Great Lakes? You're right, never been put into action.

Anyway, this should either be in the map ideas thread, discussions subforum, or deleted entirely.

Having a little Scottish Blood in me, I am fascinated by the diversity of Scottish Clans and their medieavil alliances and battles, sometimes with the English, sometimes against the english but often against each other.

Anyone else interested in that type of battle?
