I haven't played very many games yet, but this was just absurd. There is no way the dice engine is correct with a roll like that. It basically devestated my game and cost me ~60 points.

I haven't played very many games yet, but this was just absurd. There is no way the dice engine is correct with a roll like that. It basically devestated my game and cost me ~60 points.

This is an issue that many people have commented on. The response however, has generally been to stick it in our arse. I agree these results do not reflect real world and are a fault. Once you play more games you'll see that there are very long streaks where the you'll win 20-3 one time and then lose 20-3 the next time.

The fact that the total result is 23-23 is proof for some that the dice work fine but when playing it means you lose 1 game and win the other based solely on stupid rolls.

It takes away from an otherwise great site. I hear there is an ad-hoc working on this issue.

I have thought the dice were unfair since i started playing CC but if you go read the explanation of random.org on their websit you will understand why you get rolls like that. at least it really eased my mind and made me realize that i just have to deal with bad dice.

there are never this many complaints about dice when playing the boardgame or any dice game face to face

the problem is we see the 20 v 3 loses when we attack but we are not online to see when our measly 3 stack almost holds out to that mighty 20 stack advancing our way

when sitting around the kitchen table we may get frustrated by losing twice or thrice the dice defending to take the territory but that is quickly offset by then watching our opponents suffer large loses when attacking us. here we do not get the joy of knowing that our strategically placed small stack (or the result of cashing in some cards) stopped our enemies in their tracks

The funny thing here is that the losses the poster is stating aren't even that bad. Maybe the 20-vs-3... but the others are not even bad enough to be called "bad dice".

In an effort to knock down a monster fortification on my border I just lost 18 taking 6. The 3 to 1 ratio could have been worse I suppose. You gotta know when to hold 'em... still learning that lesson.
