Also, you're mistaking intelligent for holding the right views. Hitler for example was a very gifted speaker, and he certainly was intelligent too.
However, he was unbelievably wrong on most things and had twisted views.

Intelligent does not mean your views are any good, it just means you have the eloquence and the brains to present them so people will eat them up. Speeching is an art, something you have to have brains for.

You do NOT have to be intelligent to give a speech. Somebody else writes it for you, it is displayed on the teleprompter, you read it and "present" it. All you need to be is an actor. The only intelligence you need to give a speech is the ability to read.

I'm not talking about the words of the speech itself. I'm talking about the ability to deliver the speech in the best way. You have to know how to present the speech. Which requires intelligence I believe.

But actually, I'm beginning to think intelligence has the wrong meaning here. To me, you can be intelligent in different ways. Bussiness requires a different intelligence than nuclear physics, but they both require intelligence. A mechanic does something a linguist can't understand and vice versa, but they both require a form of intelligence.

What? Whoever said that it was the immigrant who decided.

However, what you need to understand is that those immigrants are there for a reason which is entirely understandable. This does not mean you just have to allow them in and let the country be overrun, but it does make you look like a bigot when you fucking claim they're somehow disrespectful and less than humans.

America needs to understand the reason why immigrants come in to actually do something about it.

He equated the immigrants of the 1800s with the illegal immigrants of today. You have to admit they are the same in every regard except that nowadays America doesn't let them in. The immigrants in the 1800's didn't register at their embassy and wait for their greencard, they just left and were welcomed by the americans.

And your country doesn't allow "shitloads" of immigrants in like they used to, if you account for the increase in world population.

What do you do about the number of industries that depend heavily on immigrants of various statuses? Im not talking about just the industries they work in, but what about all the local areas that benefit from large populations?

Our country sure isnt going to get out of a recession by kicking 12 million consumers out of the country.

Obama has no views or opinions on anything. His whole campain has been one huge rah rah rah session. All he says is "together we can bring change to this country" Change what you retard. Say something useful. I've listened to hours of debate, and he never says anything of any real substance. He just says whatever he can to get a crowd excited. He'd make a great motivational speaker, but he'd be a joke as president. He's using a very common ploy to possibly win the democratic nomination. He's just doing whatever he can to get crowds fired up, and bring attention to himself.

they certainly are more likely on the whole providing more to local industry than they are taking out of tax money.

A simple yet ancedotal example. When each state was essentially given the responsiblity of coming up with new laws about immigration rather recently, a wave of labor moved from oklahoma to the dallas area, because texas decided not to be as tough. Just about every grocery store in many areas are in danger of closing because they are not running at a loss, simply from the loss of both legal and illegal (since family members can and do move together) immigrant business. The same thing obviously is going to be true for a variety of retail oriented business. Do these individuals consume at a large variety of places? in all likelyhood they dont, but i would assume that it probably doesnt hurt the economy in general to have these people consuming as they normally do, instead of negatively affecting larger amounts of retail. After all, the goal of a lot of the rebates is to stimulate that particular sector immediatly.

Likewise, if people wanted to work those jobs at the lower wage rates, im sure they could have them. It certainly is never as simple as it would be made out to be as far as jobs go. You can even take the next step and argue about the utility then of the current trade practices and why the us really functionally needs the cheaper labor that immigrants can and do provide.
