We don't know that he's the bus driver! He could be a mafia scum!timmytuttut88 wrote:why should we vote off the town? He is pro-town! And we know. If he switches mafia with a target of the mafia he can kill mafia.
Moreover, like I said before, inexperienced ppl can lie as well. The lynch is a risk worth taking. We still haven't gotten a clear picture as to what the "bus driver" is, all we got was a "yea, I can create havoc later". Doesn't seem like a very valuable member of society...
Anyway, anyone with their back up against the wall can make up a role. Hell, it wasn't even a well-constructed role, it was more like a desperate attempt at a vague claim.
We need this lynch. What happens if we mess up the Day 2 lynch and get the doctor or the cop or something? Then we're down 2 people, and it's even worse if Neoteny was scum and we let him get away by one vote. We're going to be kicking ourselves come Day 2 when the only clue we'll have is that one of our own got killed last night, this lynch gives us a clue and eliminates someone who's looking scummier by the second...
Yes but what if he switches with a town target. He could be more trouble then he's worth. He could screw up peoples investigations.timmytuttut88 wrote:why should we vote off the town? He is pro-town! And we know. If he switches mafia with a target of the mafia he can kill mafia.
He's the scummies one we've got so far.suggs wrote:Yes, but we want to lynch SCUM, remember?
I hear you Will about the bus driver not maybe being great-but better to lynch a scum, than pro town, surely?
I think we'd be nuts to vote for Neotony.
Of course, if he turns out to be scum, I'll frigging well...have a paddy!
I don't think Pascal's wager will convert any atheists. But anyhow, I'm pretty inexperienced, but that of course doesn't mean I'm above lying. Anyhow, I can't help but Unvote Vote: jecko for pushing as hard as he is. Maybe it just seems vocal because there was a lot of conversation while I was away, but it just looks scummy to me. You guys will see if you lynch me.jecko7 wrote:He's the scummies one we've got so far.suggs wrote:Yes, but we want to lynch SCUM, remember?

Here are the possible routes:
Neoteny is scum and we lynch him - obviously the best route.
Neoteny is scum and we don't lynch him - we'd be responsible for our own demise...
Neoteny is busdriver and we lynch him - for all the reason's stated above, this is not all that bad
Neoteny is busdriver and we don't lynch him - we're back to square one, but we retain a townsman.
Sorta like Pascal's wager, except it won't convert any atheists...

I switch two characters during the night phase. What would happen to one would happen to the other.jecko7 wrote:And, are you guys seriously not going to lynch if someone makes a pro-town roleclaim? Because if not, this game could go on for a while...
Let's pray to god that the cop doesn't get lynched tonight, because I don't think that this town will get anywhere unless someone roleclaims and gives us a scum.
Also, if he's going to stay alive, could I have some clarification on the "bus driver"? I'm still not 100% sure what he does.
Thanks!

So if the cop investigated player A, and you switched the cop and player A, the cop would learn his own alignment?Neoteny wrote:I switch two characters during the night phase. To give you an example During the night Neoteny swaps Person A with Person B.Neoteny wrote:I switch two characters during the night phase. What would happen to one would happen to the other.jecko7 wrote:

The wording I got leads me to believe that I have the option to do so. It is not required for me to use my power. I don't imagine that using my power before night two would be prudent as I'm only running on limited info.Tripitaka wrote:Ok having read everything I have to say I am inclined to believe that Neoteny is telling the truth and is indeed a Bus Driver, as I don't see why someone (whatever their real allegiance) would make up a role that could possibly be a hindrance to the town and therefore make them more expendable.
And I may be wrong in this, so it would nice to get some clarification from Neo himself, but I assume he doesn't HAVE to use his power every night if he doesn't want to - which seeing as it could cause havoc for the town might be a wise move.
Right now I think you are sounding far scummier Jecko, with your eagerness to get Neo lynched, but I'll withhold my vote on you until we hear back from Neo regarding whether he has to use his power every night.

no quoting his pm...only loose paraphrasingsuggs wrote:I've now realised that so that neotony is an experienced player, sp that increases my suspicion a bit. All it means is that there is more chance is faking his claim-I'm not saying we shoukd vote for him, just a bit more inclined than i was.
Is he allowed to copy and paste his PM so we have real hard evidence?
