My 1st thought about the "No Dice Games" suggestion thread (15 pages now) was that it would make for a good game of Diplomacy. All that would be needed is to add the option for private chat for the Diplomacy games. CC already hosts an excellent computerized "playing board" with thousands of talented players - it would be the ideal place to play a Risk version of Diplomacy.
Before the poll in the "No Dice" thread closed, over 100 people (almost 60% of the voters) indicated they wanted the no dice version. Is anyone else interested in playing a Diplomacy version of Risk here at the CC?
And if the reservations about no dice are too severe, then they could be used to preserve the flavor of Risk. The most important element of Diplomacy is the the private discussions.
