OK so you lot talk on and on for 6 or 7 hours straight, and the best you can come up with is that Inkl0sed has a fairly useless town role?

Come on.

We're basically stuck where we were before.

GT, how much time do we have left?

It does seem not all that useful, but if one day, say, he gets 4 scum's, they 3 of them die and are town, we know the remaining is the true result, so it could turn out helpful, it's better than a vanilla. Assuming he's completely reliable, that is. I'd guess it probably is because the chance of it being useful anyway isn't that high.

At this point, I'd be willing to jump on any bandwagon there is, just to ensure that someone gets lynched. We need the info. Unfortunately, in the final stretch, it doesn't seem likely that enough of this large group will be able to come to a consensus.

Probably because he doesn't seem to care who is lynched...where if he was mafia, he would care if it was one of his mafia members, and if he was town he would care because it may be a power role or someone else on his side. SK is on no one's side but their own.

The big problem with that role is he's announced the four people he wants to investigate. If scum kill one or all of those people during the nights then his power will be completely useless. So, I tend to agree with a few others that it is basically a survivor role.

I think Ink's role will prove useful late game, but the question we should be asking ourselves is: should he reveal his investigations every day. I don't think he should reveal his results. Let me explain why.

Ink's role becomes useful when out of 4 people he investigated earlier, 3 have died or have been proven town somehow. It then becomes possible to see which of the 4 alignments was the true one and three were false, and voila: you find out the alignment of the last of those 4 players.

What will happen if Ink reveals his results publicly is that scum will make sure not to kill more than 2 people on a list to keep town from finding out an alignment for sure. You might argue this is good, because it hinders them in choosing a night kill, but it would be far more useful if Ink only reveals a result after 3 people on that list have died/have been proven town, because that's the only way this role is going to uncover mafia.

Kiwi did this exact same thing last game I was in with him. He was utterly useless to the town. Dude, if you're not going to play, don't sign up for games.
