ABWOP: On the current Dito & Kiwi wagons it reeks of "Hey, I got a great idea, let's lynch a noob to end day 1!"; I think there's enough content already to try more than a random lynch (although submariner lynch is always good, except if their nick starts with a g and ends with a 7

)

Well duh, he's relatively new Sheep. As new as he is, he's still making better and more informed posts than you did when you first started sheep! Cut the new guy some slack, he's active and participating and not doing anything stupid that I've seen yet.

I'd say claiming not be be scum is a pretty newbish mistake. If I was really on his case I wouldn't be giving him some tips on what not to do. I also would be trying to get him lynched. My newbish mistakes in NV3 nearly got me lynched when I was playing. He should consider himself at least a little lucky that we are going after kiwi. If it wasn't for his submarining dito's claim that he isn't scum would be enough for my vote. I would have dropped it by now but it keeps coming up.

Dito, I don't have it out for you but I do want you to realize there are some things you should be hush-hush about in mafia games. Claiming that you are not scum is a huge red flag and newbie players make that mistake. A scum role is fun, I think one of the more dynamic roles of the game. But outright denying that you are scum makes people think you are trying to cover up your scummyness by role claiming.

Scum also like trying to kill people as fast as they can. It makes sense. Once everyone is dead the scum win. Newbie scum players like to jump on bandwagons as soon as the chance appears hoping for a lynch. Bandwagons are one of the major traps towns have at their disposal. Aside from putting pressure on the person being voted on, it also lets the town see how certain players respond. Scum can be pretty easily identified if they just jump on the bandwagon without contributing anything or find good reason to join the bandwagon.

I hope this helps. Just remember, I'm not trying to lynch you but a little pressure can make new players crack and look really scummy. Nark, if I recall correctly, tried this on some of the newer players early on in the game by putting his vote on them. It didn't work out but sometimes it does. It could be said that I am doing the same but being a bit more blunt about it.

on Kiwi, it is his normal behaviour I think; he has done the "I don't have anything" in almooooooost hic all games and thus becomes useless. The ooooonly thing I fear is he might have a useful hic role which has happened in the past.

on Ditocaf, his comment oooooooof "I'll be ready to jump on any bandwagon" was pretty hic scummy and shows he doesn't care about anyone or that he was eager to get a lynch to use his night action?

As I said, Ditocoaf sounds more like a disillusioned survivor or pro-town. I don't think he's scum but thats more my opinion. Ga7's reasoning on Neoteny is pretty interesting, would be nice to see where thats going. I'm happy lynching kiwi too as he seems like he doesn't want to contribute.. operation fruitbowl not properly taken off then?

how big was the last game and how many scum were in it? ive never played in a game this big and im not entirely sure how many scum to town there will be. i know it doesnt matter now but as the game progresses it would be useful to know.

Well guys, so far wicked has been submarining both games, and I think it's because she is in a tiff about how she has to color her vote.

I ask that she be asked whether she is going to continue to play or deadbeat, so we can replace her if necessary.

No Ank, it's because my brain is foggy. I told both mods until I got used to (or got off of) these meds, I may not be as active. So yeah I won't be as active as usual. Ive already think Kiwi is the best idea for a lynch today and have said as much.

At the moment it looks like day one doesn't really have too many good leads. Kiwi is getting up there in votes, but besides that I"ll have to look back. I'll reread the whole thread afyter work and see what else I can find. People pointed certain things out, but it either wasn't enough evidence, or just forgotten about. The one thing that may help us is the post restrictions thing. I know it was said that many don't have them, but lots of players started playing with a certain "tick" and it has disappeared as the day has progressed. I'll look back through...
