I just saw this thread today...
we are not multis, but work at the same place.
Hence we don't need to talk to each other using the chat, because we can literally hear us talking....
That´s also the reason why we play doubles and triples together.
As far as I know it´s not forbidden to play with or against friends and to talk to them without using the chat, as long as the conversations are not relevant for other players of the game which has never been the case!
Actually, MasterBush adressed the problem in the game chat, we talked about it, and he took back his accuse. I am kind of surprised finding this thread in the forum therefore.... Don´t know what MasterBush was thinking when we talked...
