although the mets had to use 3 different pitchers, and ended up losing anyways, they did an awesome job in the 6th inning when the bases were loaded and there were no outs... the mets know how to get out of those kinds of situations, at least better than the cards can get out of them as shown in game 4..... oh and mets fans--be sure to watch tomorrow's game as it will be the last mets game of the season...although i'm fully certain the mets will lose tomorrow, I now have a great deal of respect for them

The Mets just couldn't get it together last night. I am in no way saying it is over, because it is very possible to come home and win two, but, not if they play the way they did last night.

Oh, and Pujols is supposed to be a professional and made those comments about Glavin because he is a sore loser crybaby bitch, and should be deported.

Pujols:

He wasn't good. He wasn't good at all," Pujols said of Glavine, who threw seven innings of four-hit ball for the victory. "I think we hit the ball hard, we didn't get some breaks.

"I say he wasn't good at all. We just didn't get some opportunities and that's it. . . . (Glavine did the) same thing that he always does. Throw a changeup, fastball and that was it. I just think we should've done a better job than we did."
I'm here for the stache-bang.

This thread is officially DEAD. Do not post here anymore. The Mets were robbed. Chavez saved a two run homer and for what? He shoulda just let it go. I guess Beltran was waiting for an underhand pitch. Well anyways, Detroit sweeps the Cards... and it could have been an interesting World Series.

the sixth inning was full of missed opportunities... first rolen's homerun got stolen...then the mets had the bases loaded with only 1 out and couldn't get a single run in

Did someone change the rules to say "Thou shalt not swing at curve balls in the 9th inning of game 7 with runners on and 2 strikes", or is this just sour grapes?

:-( I really thought Carlos could pull one out.

*cries*

*shrugs*

The Cards don't stand a chance against the Tigers.

(The Mets didn't stand all that much a chance against them either)

P.S. I think Yadier Molina used to be a woman.

the mets seem to have problems remembering that the game isn't over until it's over...they seem to do poorly in the ninth inning often times
