wtf are you talking about, majority? a majority is the largest group. no you do not have a majority. why? because take how many active players there are now and take how many players spoke up against it. now tell me you have a majority.

also how many of those 13 pages are just 4 or 5 people yelling the same thing over and over?

Any webmaster knows that change brings complaints.

Some of you didnt even bother to read the thread of why it was changed and if it was tested.
Im sorta new here and let me tell you that the old map gave me trouble seeing everything.
You guys are just used to it too much.
Im used to it too now, but damn was I ever toggling between large and small, color codes or not.

Btw, it is called classic cuz its the original game, and even the older map wasnt just like the old map.

Just give it a while then come back and say that you dont like it.

The community complains where what sparked the classic changed. The development process in the map foundry is run by the community. Therefor CC did listen to the community that chose to visit the thread, which is still there for you all to take your complaints to

Consenting voices are not flavour of the month at the moment.. but you are of course welcome to your opinion! however your opinion has already been outlined prior to this and accounted for in our rebukes of this travesty!

the point is we love the map, we grew up with it.. is it possible we will get used to it?.. no!

Put both the old and new maps out if you like .. but don't impose a change upon us mid-stream! do not strip us of our old retainer!

and also, the older map doesnt even look like the ORIGINAL risk map so saying stuff like ITS CALLED CLASSIC FOR A REASON is far from a valid argument.
Btw, risk has been around longer than some of you, lol.

I don't care about the other stuff, just the white circles need to go completely away. Don't try to make them darker, which is whay they'll try next, just do away with them already. Add me to the list!

I honestly dont care one way or the other so im not signing it, either map works for me but question... if you hate it so much why wasnt the problems raised in the thread when it was being fixed up, before the forge? (not to say your not justified at all, just a question...)

All I can say is that I wish I'd seen that thread before it was too late. It's ironic, since I hang out in the foundry frequently, but somehow I never noticed it. As soon as I noticed a difference, I rushed off to the final forge, and sure enough, there the thread was.

the current polls - BOTH of them - are running at 70PLUS percent in support of reinstating CLASSIC and never touching it again!!

and the reason is was called classic is no doubt to save on action being taken by the owners of the board game RISK. it always has amazed me that CC got away with that tbh. terrible copywright lawyers at the risk company for sure!!

The problem is obviously the current process isn't capturing the majority of the opinions. Asking for opinions on the most played and beloved map here isn't the same as asking for opinions on a new unknown map. Saying "well you should've commented before" isn't the best way to handle this, as that obviously didn't work.

Hopefully there'll be lessons learned here and eventually they'll get the map right to where everyone is happy, or can at least live with it. So let's keep the debate civil and make sure everyone's voices are heard. Nothing like changing the Classic map to bring everyone out of the woodwork. Nice to see some forum first-timers here. Come back again.

Honorable combatant, kindly note that you are the one who's stomping his feet and trying to rally the troops to arms over minor changes to a map. It should also be noted that some of us find it somewhat ironic (at best) or hypocritical that someone doing so with a tank for his avitar is calling us "forum warriors". I humbly suggest that you check yourself and not think that just because wicked is amongst those with twisted undergarments you're issues are any more profound or substantiated.

I actually did read many posts about it.
How many are complaining?
How many active players?
I bet ya its not even 1%.

Of course, lack isnt in the business of making people mad and if he needs to, changes will be done.

Hackers, Angelina Jolie, Mess With The Best, Die Like The Rest, i love that movie!! I like the orange Australia, I knew it was coming, but I thought there would have been an Aussie/SA connection. The new map looks great but theres downfalls... No more blue person hiding men in Europe anymore is one of them.

i am not entering into a slanging match detlaf - i made a considered post in polite - generally accurate and factually based way, with the hope and anticipation of mature discussion and probable support. - if we could keep it on that track i think it would probably be better.
