I had the pleasure of playing against HermannGoering, as his moniker may represent a notorious murdering historical figure, the player is not a nazi...his explained his reason for choosing that name and I found it acceptable. Considering the CC policy of not letting him change his user name, I would not hold this against him.

Ty for explaining that. My issue with the name (as opposed to say Genghis Khan) is that there is a much stronger sense of revulsion to more recent events. In this particular instance, I have a number of relatives who I was unable to meet because they were gassed in the Holocaust.

I happen to have had a cat called Benji that was run over by my neighbour's chauffeur, so I find the moniker she is using to be particularly distressing.

My condolences... I apologise for my (very silly - look up my post history and you quickly find out why) name - I never intended it to cause offense

I would be (more than) happy to change my handle - do the powers-that-be on CC allow such modifications? I'd be quite alright with 'Benjikat's A C**t'.

Me too - although I was thinking along the lines of something a that was a little less of a personal attack.

General comment - Yes this is a site dedicated to "world domination" - but for me it is just about some small coloured numbers moving round a screen - when it gets mixed up with real life slaughter, genocide, etc, then I wish to ignore it.

he created his account, is proof enough for you that it isn't his real name... try to read the
whole thread before commenting! i am the only person allowed to fly off the handle with general

Just because I call myself TheScarecrow, i havent met too many ppl who have said that I do not have any brains. These ppl are smart enough to think, "hmm... maybe this guy is trying to be funny."

In your case when i see a name like HG I think, "This guy needs to go down... and fast!" i try my utmost plus 10% to win the game, just to get some 'revenge'
