Fucking pharmaceutical companies... I can't believe they managed to invent a day to celebrate this product. Capitalism gone mad I tell you.

do not fight under the command of brits.deliaselene wrote:the sun rising at Mount Macedon is a powerful sight Lord V...I did attend a service with my son however...lord voldemort wrote:lest we forget...

the attendance today was the largest on record ...since Australian troops have been more actively involved in world conflict, the numbers attending have steadily increased...not necessarily a bad thing by any means...awareness
however what message are we sending our children?
I think you miss the point...and certainly in retrospect it appears there were mistakes made...but where would Australia be today without England...greenoaks wrote:do not fight under the command of brits.deliaselene wrote:the sun rising at Mount Macedon is a powerful sight Lord V...I did attend a service with my son however...lord voldemort wrote:lest we forget...

You REALLY have a negative outlook on life in general, don't you?radiojake wrote:Lest we forget, eh??
Sounds like a good idea - too bad it clearly seems that everyone forgets way too easily, why else would we (as in our elective government) continue to send troops to war.. especially unjust ones that serve no purpose but to inflate the wallets of already rich men and women.
ANZAC day is a joke when the whole point of the day is missed -
Nationalism and patriotism sucks... service men & women are chumps
That's about it
jake I seriously haven't seen a single positive post from you yet, you're always complainingmuy_thaiguy wrote:You REALLY have a negative outlook on life in general, don't you?radiojake wrote:Lest we forget, eh??

I don't agreed with National Service either...however Nationalism is something very different.. its the essence behind many wars and can not be ignored...you can not dismiss it as "crap"...radiojake wrote:I don't think somuy_thaiguy wrote: You REALLY have a negative outlook on life in general, don't you?

I didn't see any complaining in my post up there.. I just said I think it's a whole lotta crap, I just really really don't like nationalism or national service or anything generally related to it all...

not just australia but the entire world would be a much different, possible crueller, poorer world without the brits. but the gallipoli event was an overwhelming failure despite the bravery displayed by all troops there.deliaselene wrote:I think you miss the point...and certainly in retrospect it appears there were mistakes made...but where would Australia be today without England...greenoaks wrote:do not fight under the command of brits.deliaselene wrote:the sun rising at Mount Macedon is a powerful sight Lord V...I did attend a service with my son however...

didn't you lose something like half of all your men 18 to 25 ?borox0 wrote:New Zealand was in ANZAC and we lost thousands which for a country of like 3 million people back then is huge numbers. It was still a horrible tragedy for both nations. Lest we forget.

Haven't heard that but I wouldn't be suprised if that was the case.greenoaks wrote:didn't you lose something like half of all your men 18 to 25 ?borox0 wrote:New Zealand was in ANZAC and we lost thousands which for a country of like 3 million people back then is huge numbers. Huge? I submit that you leave out any sort of detail to this self proclaimed description of the girth and length of your love muscle. Huge is relative sir. A 2x4 is huge when compared to a toothpick, after all and yet, really small when compared to an oak tree. Likewise, you may have a huge penis when "hanging out" with pygmies, but lets admit it, you tend to be a loner in the locker room after gym class, for fear that your acorn will become the topic of ridicule.Dancing Mustard wrote:Don't forget to mention that I also have a huge penis.deliaselene wrote:and modest too...
