Not much for giving an actual reason for Obama, are you?War Dog wrote:i think obama should be president bcuz mccain is too old fashion and hilliary has been in the senate for how many years and has done what except vote for the war. ohh and if hilliary wins her husband might as well be calling the shots
There aren't many people that can give reasons for either side, which is quite depressing. That said, both Obama and McCain would be good choices.muy_thaiguy wrote:Not much for giving an actual reason for Obama, are you?War Dog wrote:i think obama should be president bcuz mccain is too old fashion and hilliary has been in the senate for how many years and has done what except vote for the war. ohh and if hilliary wins her husband might as well be calling the shots
Anyways, I'm for McCain, have been for awhile actually.
Well he needs something to energize either himself or his campaign. I know everyone is focused on the Democrats right now and it's exciting since nobody knows how it will turn out, but geez!, would it kill the guy to show a little bit of enthusiasm? Actually, it might now that I think about it.tzor wrote:My African American fantasy for president is J.C. Watts. He would make a good VP (hint hint McCain).

Do you really think Osama is in Iraq? If so I don't believe you should be able to vote.War Dog wrote:yeah but we just had 8 years of republican president and look how that turned out. obama although is making a mistake on iraq so is hilliary.
they talk on withdrawing our troops but if we dont stablize the government there, catch osama bin ladin and make a police force there before we leave, the country will recess back to its orignal pre war state

you clearly should not be allowed to vote as you appear incapable of understanding simple household budgeting truths. it goes like this:DRoZ wrote:If I was forced to vote as is I suppose I would vote for McCain, as I am a republican and I think that is the best person to keep taxes low.
So are you buying into Obama's bs line that raising the capital gain tax will increase the amount of revenue the government pulls in...even thought it's been proven time and time again that lowering it brings in more revenue than raising it?greenoaks wrote:you need a president with the spine to raises taxes and slash spending.

You got half of that right. You need to cut spending and keep taxes low. Explain to me how increasing taxes is supposed to help our economy. Or do we not need to have a stable economy in order to pay back all this national debt that we have built up? No matter how much money our government decides to take from us they still aren't going to spend it any more wisely.greenoaks wrote:you clearly should not be allowed to vote as you appear incapable of understanding simple household budgeting truths. it goes like this:DRoZ wrote:If I was forced to vote as is I suppose I would vote for McCain, as I am a republican and I think that is the best person to keep taxes low.
income greater than expenses = good thing
income less than expenses = bad thing
income constantly less than expenses = bankruptcy
by the way, bankruptcy is bad, real bad.
you need a president with the spine to raises taxes and slash spending.
Even if that's true -- and it's debatable, despite many peoples' insistence that they are absolutely right -- which is better for the economy: a war in Iraq for the next century, which is costing us 18 million dollars an hour, and increasing our debt to the likes of China (thus giving us less and less leverage with them), not to mention the lives lost in the whole affair, or pulling out of Iraq in about a year? The Fuzzy Pengui wrote:So are you buying into Obama's bs line that raising the capital gain tax will increase the amount of revenue the government pulls in...even thought it's been proven time and time again that lowering it brings in more revenue than raising it?greenoaks wrote:you need a president with the spine to raises taxes and slash spending.
Or does it depend on what's going on on Wall Street at the time?
idiots
That was the point...DRoZ wrote:What leverage are you refering to with china?
What else? The iraq war is a gigantic was of money, resources and most importantly life. You will never hear me say a single good thing about that mess. I think you may be getting upset at me about the whole mccain thing. Apparently I didnt make it clear enough that I think he would be an awful president, but yet only a slightly better choice than the others. I was a Paul supporter, but we all see how that worked out.InkL0sed wrote:That was the point...DRoZ wrote:What leverage are you refering to with china?![]()
Anyway, I noticed you didn't answer anything other than that.
