i think that if you are being accused of multi-ing, you should recieve a pm from lack, saying that you have been accused, blah blah blah. that way the accused can defend themselves, and not freak out when all of a sudden they cant join games
In my opinion you got your warning when you signed up. If you truly are not a multi then you can appeal to lack.
But I would guess that the great majority of people that are busted are actually multies and not just being falsely accused.

well, see my friends, got busted, without warning, and they were just on the same computer because they wre at one friend's house, so i think it's only fair to get a warning to explain urself
Well I understand where your coming from. But I think it would put more work on lack to have to PM every multi then wait to hear if they respond and then keep track of who hasn't responded and who has.
The way the system works now they are automatically closed out and the real multies go away and the real people who are the minority appeal to lack to be reinstated.

see, my friends didnt appeal, they thought it wouldnt work. so, what do they do now? see? they had no warning, if it werent for me, they'd have no idea what was going on
I agree with you...
a warning would be fair... but I see how it should be alot of extra work.
and illegal multies can also tell lies.
but it keeps some players away from this game.
I'm thinking of introducing my GF to this game, but I don't want to get suspended for it...
I know it is allowed to have 2 accounts on one IP as long as you don't play eachother, but I've also heard people get booted for being at a friends house playing...

what if they didnt break any rules? have u ever accused a multi and later found out u were wrong? i want to give people a chance to explain because my friends didnt
people should just check the cheating/abuse thread every once and a while to see if their name pops up. that way, they can defend themselves if the time comes that they have been accused.
that's what i do. see, i've said it a billion times before, but, when i first started playing with my friends, i never went into the forum. one day i did, and checked cheating and abuse. well, it happened my name was on the thread!!! so i checked it out. it turns out my friends (A Kizzle and Conner98359) were on the same computer so much that they were banned. they never got a warning. i tried to plead the case, but it didnt work
In the case that Evil Semp mentions the was a wrongful conviction and the suspects friends' made a lot of noise and convinced us to overturn the ban.
Unless you're lucky enough to have supporters like that, you're pretty much screwed if you get busted and you're not actually a multi. Many appeals end up in the trash bin after a quick read. Why spend so much time re-investigating and changing the records if 90% of appeals are baseless? Myself and the others who handle multis (currently Andy and Twill) do it in our spare time and that's a lot of effort to bring justice to so few people.
Plus, we do give them the option to get premium and prove they're two people.
