Common, no WWII Gazala, please!amazzony wrote:We are starting with Round 5. There's 10 Conquerors left and this round will be decisive which conqueror advances to Final Game and who is the exact person who wins this tournament.
Games for Round 5 have been made and I'll be sending out messages shortly. I'm really hoping that I don't have to do any more replacements and everything will run smoothly.
random.org has picked WWII Gazala as the map for final round![]()
Cheers,

That was the rules when we signed up, why have that been changed? The conqueror and his team who gains the most points after every round will be able to choose his/her map and setting's to play on.

I didn't see that he hold to this rule after round 1 and when I took it over then I changed some rules (post for this is HERE).The conqueror and his team who gains the most points after every round will be able to choose his/her map and setting's to play on.
3. Everybody received a message when I took over the tournament and therefore everybody had the chance to get familiar with the changes that I made (that gave everybody the right to drop out from the tournament if they weren't alright with the changes).amazzony wrote:2. Settings for each round will be picked with random.org. I would pick them myself but that wouldn’t be fair because I’m also taking part with my team.

Because most doesn't mean everybody. And as I already said - I explained how maps are picked. That means that all maps were up for a pick and there's a possibility that a map that many won't like will be picked. This was my decision when I took over the tournament (and from hulmey's post it seems that this was his decision, too) so not much has changed since the tournament was made (except that random.org picks the map and not the leader team).AndrewB wrote:If you know that most of the player would dislike the map, how changing it will be cheating???
Yes, it gives me the right to pick how I wish to run the tournament - I picked random.org.AndrewB wrote:Being a tournament organizer gives you the right to select the settings, which will make the tournament more enjoyable for everyone.
For example, some maps are badly suited for the no cards games. I, as TO, would change it to make sure that the settings provide the best competition environment for everyone, or at least most of the players...

I'm stubborn? Maybe. I like to run my tournaments as I see them best! And I see no reason to re-make round 5 because one person doesn't like the map picked.AndrewB wrote:Amazzony, it is just being plain stubborn.
Oh well..... I am not going to waste my breath anymore...
Can you explain me how changing the map benefits the tournament?? I can only see benefiting your own personal reasons.AndrewB wrote:You changed the rules once, you could change them again for the benefit of the tournament.

I don't know why I mentioned THOTA, I just had better impression of the clan and you as one of the members are representing it. It was off-topic, I know. But if you come insulting me in my own tournament then it's pissing me off.AndrewB wrote:What THOTA has to do with it??? Your arguments are ridiculous and inconsistent.
Regardless, I will repeat again. I am NOT going to argue anymore.

i also like this map choice BECAUSE ive played it a ton and noone else in my group hadKidWhisky wrote:Just to throw in my two cents, I think this map was a good idea. I can't say I really like the map and this is the first time I've played it. The nice thing is that none of the guys I am playing with have played it either so it evens out the playing field. I think that is a lot better than having one player that plays it all the time and knows it better than anyone else. Especially since this is the last round befor the finals. Way to stand against the masses (or at least the one man) Amazzony.
