Just a note, I won't be around until thursday due to work reasons so don't expect anything from me until then. I'll try and pop in my games a few times over the period.

If one was insane, and we found out their sanities, that may be too one sided for the town in a game this size because an insane cop who knows they're insane is as useful as a real cop.
Do the rest of you agree or disagree that we are much more likely (if there are 2 town cops) to have one be naive rather than insane?

Because if that's true, let's think this through...

If lovo comes up mafia, then Clive could be an insane town cop, but is that likely? He could be mafia, but would he link himself with fellow scum? Possibly. Either way we've lynched lovo who was mafia.

If lovo comes up town, then Clive could be a sane OR naive town cop, which doesn't tell us his true cop role unless his next investigation or animorph's helps us in some way which may be a slim chance, but either way it's a little more info to work with, but is it really enough? Clive could still be mafia saying that lovo is town because he is.

The thing is if we knew if there was a naive or insane cop, then that would narrow down the possibilities a bit and make for less confusion. So I ask again, do the rest of you agree or disagree that we are much more likely (if there are 2 town cops) to have one be naive rather than insane?

Even with this question answered, I don't know if this is the right decision (to lynch lovo).

nagerous, could you explain about the time you suggested this in another game and how it was a good idea?
I'm throwing it out there that it is quite likely that Clive is an insane cop. In Braveheart mafia, LSU and Talapus were tearing each other to shreds yet vote had very plausible claims. Yet me and Koesen were the only ones that seemed to get this and that it was likely that they were pro-town cops of varying sanities... Despite this, Mandy and his band of misleaded masons pressed for both of their lynches and this hence resulted in a mafia win when it could have been a town win if just me and Koesen were listened to in the first place. I think it highly likely that Lovo is mafia (ani already comes accross as either sane or naive) and I do not want to see either of the cop claims lynched for now, town will have to trust me in this instance, I know people don't generally like listening to me in mafia but they'll have to for now.

Yeh I agree with what you're saying ML, from the point of view of assumption we are both telling the truth, i'm pretty sure animo is scum though...

I was thinking it unlikely there would be an insane cop rather than naive, but you're right in the fact that I can't dismiss the possibility. How can any of us know what the roles setup is in this game?

Sam's right, it's a stupid lynch. If you want to test Clive out, why just not vote him instead of LoVo? Coming out with your info the day after we asked for counter claims? Sounds scummy to me.

I have to unvote right now though, because of the possibity that we might both be town cops.

My only hesitance is that we will almost certainly lose a cop during the night, thus confirming their sanities that way. So either way tomorrow we will learn what lovo is, so it would be a complete waste if he turns up town if we lynch him.Though, there is good chance he is in scum, and the fact he has yet to come in and really defend himself is not helping him any.

Anyway, I'll unvote for now.

that would be my thoughts...the fact that i have gone back to work means i have become less active. and the fact that lynching me to prove a cops sanity is silly.
scum will surely hit one of the cops tomorrow night, thus proving sanity and my innocence...fos anyone trying to push the lynch of claimed cop...yer they may be lying but they still have claimed cop.
remember this is a vanilla game. little is to be gained from my claim.
ummm....nick. this example you have given us is ok but like i said its a vanilla game, do we really believe the chances of having 2 cops of varying sanity in this game...
pardon the skimming but have either given role name claims??

Well not much could be gained from your claim I suppose, however you have everything to lose if you don't.

Yes, they've both given name claims. Kid with detective badge and Kid who watched Kindergarten cop.

Your defence is scummy. You're refusing to claim because its a vanilla game? Does that mean you're vanilla? Or just can't be bothered to think up a claim as your pm read mafia?

What is there to defend against? He is being lynched to test sanity. You expect him to come out and claim because you all pushed for a lynch on him when the mafia is gonna kill one of them.
fos all voting lovo for not putting up good enough defence

Not really Firth, besides the whole sanity business I see a good load of other reasons to lynch Lovo now.
-Submarining before
-Contradictory "input":
lord voldemort wrote:id rather u didnt. i think its more likely one of them to be scum on a fake claim than the 2 different sanity's
it is a vanilla game after all.
ill eat my dinner and comment on who i think is more scum...
lord voldemort wrote:(...)the fact that lynching me to prove a cops sanity is silly.
scum will surely hit one of the cops tomorrow night, thus proving sanity and my innocence...fos anyone trying to push the lynch of claimed cop...yer they may be lying but they still have claimed cop.
So first he looks like he's gonna help find the fakeclaiming scum, then changes of strategy cause Skoff's post fits his purpose, saving his ass that is. Meanwhile he hasn't thrown any suspicion...
-Defense by various people that could be potential scum:
Clive wrote:Wtf? Lynch my innocent result?

I agreed largely with what ML said.

Best lynch, if not animo, has to be someone on my wagon.
sam_levi_11 wrote:unvote to stop a stupid lynch.
animorpherv1 wrote:Sam's right, it's a stupid lynch. If you want to test Clive out, why just not vote him instead of LoVo? Coming out with your info the day after we asked for counter claims? Sounds scummy to me.

I have to unvote right now though, because of the possibity that we might both be town cops.
-Refusal to claim or care. If he was even a vanilla I doubt he would have qualms giving a name claim, so the "lose a townie" line doesn't make much sense at this point.

So, regardless of the potential sanity info that could come out of it, Lovo's lynch might well be our best bet for scum and will give valuable info without risking the cops IMO.
Else I disagree with the line of thought that one cop is sure to die tonight solving the whole thing, as if one of them is indeed fakeclaiming and the town one is protected there's good odds both will survive the night. So pretty senseless and attentist view.

errhh now I'm not sure what to think. I wanted to see what the cops turned out to be before we decided on him, but his recent actions make him look more scummy. Refusal to claim to begin with, and then wanting to know what others have claimed gave me the impression he was trying to gain time to think of something and wanting to know what else has been claimed so he can get an idea as to what to fakeclaim. And his claim now seems like something pretty easy to come up with.

With the teacher gone, the mean kids thought they had already won. Who could stand up to them now? They got their answer the hard way. The entire class gathered together and sealed off lord voldemort's escape. "I'm innocent!", he shouted. "Just look at my eyes! Would a mean kid have eyes like this?" "Maybe your mum still buys that look, but we don't!", someone replied. lord voldemort screamed out: "You won't get away with this! It's far from over!"

lord voldemort - Kid with puppy eyes (Mafia godfather) - has been lynched.
