Hide email link from people unless they are friends.

Concise description:
  • The email link below a users name is visible to anyone on the site - thus I disallow it's appearance as I don't want emails from all and sundry... however - I wouldn't have a problem for people on my friends list - to have the ability to see this link.

Specifics:
  • Email button appears for people on my friends list.
  • Ability to allow disallow (as current email link works - but with extra "Friends only" option)

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • Friends can email me.
  • Promote usage of the Friends list.

yeap, I agree.

The address being viewable by all means that very few actually post it.

I've never received an unsolicited email from a player here at CC and my email address has been visible the entire time I've been here. With the PM system, I have a feeling that nobody really sees the need to send emails. Do you get lots of random emails?

It's not necessarily that too - but if the email address is only displayed for friends - then the rest of the entire internet cannot see it either... (unless you add googlebot as a friend)

Perhaps if youre not a friend, it could state that you have an email but it is undisclosed. And then if i wanted it I would have to PM that person and ask them for it...
Im that little guy that you think can't do nuthin, and then out no where KAPOW!

This kinda stuff always happens to me...

Everyone has an email address - it is an integral part of signing up.
