Why not offer just a handful of maps in each catagory...
and as you win on a specific map, it unlocks another map...

In essence, creating a 'road map' for new players to follow...
Might actually create interest to play all these maps :!:

Only if all of the current members get to keep their maps...you wouldnt want people to have to unlock maps that they have already played thousands of times.

But really the best solution is just organize the start page. We could have little tabs on top like in My Games that have the different complexities.

what is this, mario brothers? complete levels to get other levels and goodies? forget that idea, i do not want to be forced to play any maps i don't want to play. imagine if i HAD to play on that horrible wreck of a map called "CLASSIC"? i'd have quit this site long ago. bad idea... hey, why not make people play all the styles of game play that offered on here too?!-0

YES!

And the Most Retarded Idea Ever-award goes to.....

Duane: You know what they say about love and war.
Tim: Yes, one involves a lot of physical and psychological pain, and the other one's war.

Please! There have been many, many ideas worse than that. Sure, it isn't the best idea ever, but to call it "the Most Retarded Idea Ever", is a bit of a stretch.

True.

We totally need an award-show for it though.

Treat it kinda like TV. If you dont like what's playing, just move on to another channel.

you can never have to many options! a clickable add and take away from your own preferinces would be real cool but i'm sure it would be a lot of work to set up.

Nice bump.
Anyway, go to The Map Foundry, read up on the Map Making Handbook, and visit the Foundry Discussion area (where the very helpful Map Maker's Guide to the Foundry is. After you have your image, post it in the Drafting Room: New Projects, after reading through the Drafting Room Guidelines ;)

So click on those keywords and read up! They'll certainly ease your journey through the Foundry :)

RjBeals wrote:There is a new map select page that is being developed. I've seen the beta. It will make scrolling through maps a lot easier. It's also being discussed to allow users to create their own "favorites" screen where you can drag & display just the maps you care to start games on. You could of course go back a level to view all. Cause let's face it - there's more and more people making maps, and we aren't going to stop !!

This would be amazing
