Yeah, It seems that people get funnier as they get older. Like my grandmother. She developed a taste for a certain brand of red wine when she was about 74 and while I wouldn't call her an alcoholic, she does occasionally get a bit tipsy. there was this one time where we were going to an American-Japanese crossover restaurant to celebrate my sister's engagement. We ordered sushi as an apetizer and it came with wasabi. I took a bite of it and all I remember was that this stuff was very, very hot even for wasabi. I literally couldn't take even the smallest amount possible without watering at the eyes. My grandmother during this time had been talking to my sister and hadn't noticed that we had appetizers. But after a while she looked over and she said "OOH! I love guacamole!" She then took the whole thing of wasabi (and there was a lot of it) on her spoon and swallowed it all at once.jonesthecurl wrote:I do love them both dearly, after all I paid their air fares for the visit - this is a good "anonymous" place where I can blow off steam about the inevitable frustrations.
My wife has the day off tomorrow, and we're all going into the Big Apple. I am sure there will be further relatable anecdotes after that.

Good. Good. I've been writing a lot lately, though most of it's just been writing, then erasing and finally starting over completely. I'm trying to get a kind of sci-fi/fantasy series out and since it's a serious of stories rather than one long one like I am used to doing, I'm having more trouble than I would usually.apey wrote:Alright just busy with the new baby
how have you been

I have heard that one of the most common food allergies is to tomatoes (and yes, I know that, as we read this, we are pronouncing it differently).strike wolf wrote:Really? Well, at least that's one thing you're not allergic too.
