Maritovw is the one working on the Caribbean map, and as far as I know he's on hiatus at the moment. He hasn't had anything to do with the Zodiac map discussions at any rate. Perhaps we should branch off into a new thread?Ectomancer wrote:Finish the Caribbean Sea map first!!@maritovw wrote:i've had an idea for a 60 territory map for much time, but i want to finish with the Caribbean Sea first... thing is, i've been really short of time....
I agree, after I posted that I realized we would go nowhere without some kind of rough sketch to start with. I have several ideas, but like I posted earlier I'm going to be out of town for several weeks soon and won't be able to do anything about it. The yin-yang is still workable, and would certainly be visually pleasing and in keeping with the theme, but personally I'd like to avoid anything completely circular and balanced as I think that doesn't lend itself to interesting gameplay. What's more balanced than a yin-yang, that's what the damn thing stands forstrike wolf wrote:I think it might be important to get a rough map before we can branch out into another thread. but anyways, I like the idea you proposed about the yin-yang symbol in the middle. Maybe we can use that center ground as a way certain continents can reach each other and incorporate a certain way this happens? I might be getting a little complicated but if it worked it could be good.
