Well i can write it on the map in other places if you want!mibi wrote:The only place it says switzerland is in the title.
I dont get the bolded part...that's exactly what i have... Do you want me to use different colors?AndyDufresne wrote:I'm going to have to agree with mibi. It looks as if you are baking or roasting the poor country inside an oven. Look at all the blues, grays, purples, and even greens...that make up dear Switzerland. This map seems to miss all those wonderful elements.

I agree, and will add a third point:Ruben Cassar wrote:I don't like the background image in the map for two reasons:
1. It's barely visible so it adds nothing to the map
2. It's visible enough to make it hard for my poor eyes to read the map and differentiate between colours
Ergo better without it in my humble opinion.
It's not your bad eyes.oaktown wrote:I agree, and will add a third point:Ruben Cassar wrote:I don't like the background image in the map for two reasons:

3. You have a lot going on already with territories tightly spaced in some places and the mountains taking up a good deal of real estate, so additional visual elements make things a bit muddled.
Basel: is it just my bad eyes, or is it difficult to tell which region it is a part of?
Basel again: somebody is going to attack Solo Thurn thinking they are attacking Basel, and that somebody's name is oaktown.
You know what? I missed it too.MrBenn wrote:It looks like Oaktown missed the 'Basel is part of no continent' text.![]()
This does sound a little odd; why not have 'Basel is not part of a continent' or 'Basel does not have a region bonus'?
The colour between Basel and surrounding areas needs to be differentiated a little more, and you should take Basel out of the white area on the mini-map, to emphasise that it is not part of a bonus area.
Basel is not part of any territory because of that post ^^^^. Iueli wrote: Dont put Basel into the "Zürich influence", that just aint right, trust me! I'd suggest to make another bonus region in the north, a small one, including Basel as its chef-lieu, then also Jura and Solothurn... or leave Jura with the Romandie (which is better, in fact) and divide Basel in two (Basel-town, Basel-countryside, or something like that, 'cause actually Basel is 2 small cantons called city and country-side...) plus Solothurn.

30 is better than 31 or 32.Kaplowitz wrote:Well which part of that version did you like mibi? The BG?
MrBenn, it has 30 right now, so if i split it--it will be 31
For it to feel like Switzerland you must add the bordering states. This is Switzerland...the heart of Europe.Kaplowitz wrote:Well which part of that version did you like mibi? The BG?

The problem is that the borders don't look like borders. I didn't even notice there were borders until you mentioned them.pamoa wrote:just few things
- put basel name right next to title
- I don't like chocolate box images inside switzerland
- what's up with those uggly borders for birdering states, as I said before swiss people tend to see themself as an island and if you take the actual EU map it's exactly the way it looks. For me you can remove them
go on!
