Yea, I hear you, sometimes you'd swear they said one long word when infact it's a whole sentence blasted out in 1.5 seconds!!!

I know. I was listening to my local rap station one day, and was cracking up because it sounded like the guy inhaled helium before he rapped, AND was on speed.

Anyway, I couldnt understand a word he said. Then there was like a break, and he was just like "EFFFFFFFFFF" (literally, not the actual word, just efffffff" it was histerical. Then he went right back at it again, spewing nonsense

But if I can't understand the language then I don't know which are individual words in the singing. Thus, I dont know any of the words and find the songs hard to understand.

Perhaps it just takes a trained ear, but I think I agree, though I usually don't have a problem with it. Particularly the more talented artists.

A lot of rap I can understand fine, though I don't tend to listen to it much.

I'm more an electric/dance kinda guy.

At 2:15 all I hear is "people" at the beginning and "motherfucking brain" at the end.

But yeah I have trouble with both rap and death metal, however anyone who's listened to each for a long time can usually hear much better.
