I've seen someone's rating already updated, and it showed the individual rating a person left. To be more specific, it had the specific person that rated him, with his name, and each rating given. There might be an overall average rating, but I'm under the impression that each individual rating by each player is also given, as well as each person's name. Just as with the old system it showed next to the person's name his/her overall positive-negative feedback totals, and if you clicked it, it showed each specific feedback.cicero wrote:When you view someone's rating you are viewing their average rating of all individual ratings made by other players. Sorry Fabled ... I think you're right.FabledIntegral wrote:I've seen someone's rating already updated, and it showed the individual rating a person left. Well to the latter suggestion "find all games with player X and player Y" I would more only be concerned with what the specific rating was for. For example I was in a game recently with someone on my foe list, but I joined after him, not even knowing he was on my foe list at that point (but I realized very quickly within the first 2 rounds why he was on it - suiciders who get angry over sarcasm b/c of my comment "NICE DEFFERED ARMY STRATEGY" [twas a joke!]). Nothing in that game would possibly indicate why I had given him a negative feedback, just as with the current system nothing in that game would really suggest why I would have given him low ratings on the "sportsmanship" or whatever that is attributed with. I would only want the rating to be associated with which game it came from.cicero wrote:Sorry Fabled ... As you say it'll be easier to tell once we all get some ratings given to us. But sure, if the individual ratings are listed then there should be link(s) to the game(s) that the two players have had together. Or perhaps simply a "find all games with player X and player Y" link?
QFT i would like to see them linked to a specific game rather then not linked to any gameFabledIntegral wrote:Concise description:
Next to the rating, just as was done in the old feedback system, provide a link to the specific game ID the rating was left for. I understand that ratings can be updated and modified, but you KNOW that no1 is going to average it out. For example if someone has a very good experience with a person and gives all 5 stars, then has an absolutely terrible experience after, they are going to change the overall rating to 1 star, not 3. So I think that it would be best if it was done more like the old system, where you could have the Game ID next to the feedback. If you want to change the feedback, simply withdraw the old rating, click on the "leave feedback" for the new rating, and then the new game ID will appear.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
Pretty much was one of the most useful things about the old feedback system was seeing if ratings were accurate. I would look at the feedback, click the game number, and be in the game immediately. It was very convenient, and one of the main features I consistently used.
But the thing is that when you play more than one game with a person you don't get to give them more than one rating. Rather each time you play a game with a person you get the opportunity to modify your rating of them. There is still only one rating.FabledIntegral wrote:Well to the latter suggestion "find all games with player X and player Y" I would more only be concerned with what the specific rating was for. Personal preference, nothing wrong with yours, I'm just saying that's my logic on why I would want game ID.
Oooo, that is handy!lackattack wrote:A handy [find games] link now appears for each rating on a member's ratings page
